TigerAir partners with SpiceJet

Tigerair has formed a new partnership with Delhi-based low-cost carrier SpiceJet that will expand air connectivity between Singapore and India. The three-year interline deal kicks off on 1 January 2014, and will offer single-ticket travel between the Tigerair and SpiceJet networks.
Connecting at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Tigerair passengers from Singapore will be able to connect to SpiceJet’s flights from Hyderabad to 14 domestic destinations – Bhopal, Mumbai, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Indore, Mangalore, Madurai, Pune, Pajahmundry, Tirupati and Visakhapatnum. Indian passengers from all of these destinations will be able to connect to Tigerair’s flights to Singapore.“India is one of our key markets and we are excited to expand our footprint there through this interline partnership with SpiceJet,” said Tigerair’s group chief commercial officer, Alexander Knigge. “We look forward to building a win-win partnership and delivering even more travel options to our customers.”

SpiceJet’s chief operating officer, Sanjiv Kapoor, added that the arrangement will offer more “affordable and hassle-free connection[s] between Indian cities and Singapore”.
