Tourism minister Amar Kumar Bauri has called on hotel owners and tour operators to effectively use information technology and mobile revolution to draw tourists to Jharkhand. He was speaking at the inauguration of a three-day tourism fair at Rabindra Hall, CMPDI.
Bauri encouraged the stakeholders to work with the government to prepare a thorough database of facilities available for tourists in the state, reports The Times of India.
“I have travelled across the country. I feel that Jharkhand has been blessed with nature’s bounty in a way no other state has been. From scenic waterfalls to picturesque valleys, all within the range of 30km from Ranchi, we have got everything to draw tourists,” said Bauri.
The fair will have stalls from Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar among other states.
